Amtrol (RP-15HP) 15 GPM Water Pressure Booster Whole House System Pressuriser
Amtrol RP-15HP Whole House Pressure Booster System
Complete pressure boosting package with integrated storage tank, low-suction cutoff, and thermal protection for homes and businesses with chronic low pressure
The Amtrol RP-15HP delivers consistent whole-house pressure boosting for municipal water systems with inadequate incoming pressure. Unlike inline pump-only models, this pre-assembled system includes a properly sized pressure tank that reduces motor cycling, cuts power consumption, and extends equipment life while providing reserve capacity during peak demand.
Three-Layer Pressure Management
Low-Pressure Detection
System monitors incoming municipal pressure and activates 1/2 HP motor when pressure drops below set point. Built-in low-suction cutoff protects pump from dry running when incoming pressure falls below 5 PSI minimum.
Active Pressure Increase
Motor-driven pump increases system pressure up to 40 PSI above incoming line pressure. Factory-set 40/60 PSI switch maintains consistent delivery pressure between 40 and 60 PSI. Thermal overload protection prevents motor damage during sustained operation.
Tank Buffer and Delivery
Integrated pressure tank stores boosted water at system pressure and supplies peak demand without immediate pump activation. This reduces motor cycling frequency, minimizes power draw, and provides stable pressure during simultaneous fixture use across 8-15 GPM flow range.
Amtrol RP-15HP Technical Details

Installation Requirements
The Amtrol RP-15HP is designed exclusively for municipal and city water systems with continuous supply but insufficient pressure. This system requires minimum 5 PSI incoming pressure to operate safely. Not suitable for well water applications unless a large atmospheric storage tank is installed upstream to provide consistent supply pressure. Pressure switch and tank pre-charge settings can be adjusted for lower incoming pressures within the 5 PSI minimum threshold. All plumbing connections must comply with local codes, and electrical service must match motor voltage requirements (115V or 230V configuration).
