Installation Steps
- Shut off water supply and relieve pressure from the Big Blue housing by opening the pressure relief button on top of the cap.
- Use a filter wrench to unscrew the housing sump counterclockwise. Remove the old cartridge and clean the housing interior and o-ring with a mild bleach solution.
- Insert the new IF-SM-KDF010B5 cartridge into the housing, ensuring it seats properly in the center post.
- Reinstall the sump by threading it clockwise until hand-tight, then turn water supply back on slowly and check for leaks.
- Flush the new filter for 5 minutes to rinse carbon fines and activate the KDF media before use.
