Includes all components needed for a complete media and pre-filter replacement: bulk catalytic carbon media, one 5-micron sediment pre-filter cartridge, two O-rings for housing seals, and one funnel for easy carbon loading.
Replacement schedule for optimal performance
Sediment Pre-Filter
Replace the 5-micron string-wound filter based on water quality and sediment load. Increased pressure drop or visible discoloration indicates replacement is needed.
Catalytic Carbon Media
Bulk carbon bed should be replaced every five years under normal residential use. Heavy chloramine levels may require more frequent replacement.
O-Ring Inspection
Inspect O-rings during every filter change. Replace if cracked, flattened, or no longer pliable to maintain proper housing seal and prevent bypass.
Whole House Ready
