Replacing Your Housing O-Ring
- Turn off water supply and relieve system pressure before removing the filter housing sump from the cap assembly.
- Remove the old o-ring from the groove in the housing sump. Clean the groove thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any sediment or mineral buildup.
- Lightly lubricate the new Pentek 151121 o-ring with food-grade silicone grease and seat it evenly in the groove around the sump rim.
- Thread the sump back onto the cap hand-tight, ensuring the o-ring remains properly seated. Do not over-tighten as this can damage the seal.
- Slowly turn water supply back on and inspect for leaks. If seepage occurs, relieve pressure and reseat the o-ring before retightening.
