Filter Replacement Process
- Turn off water supply and relieve system pressure by opening a downstream faucet or pressing the red pressure release button on the housing.
- Use a filter wrench to unscrew the housing sump, then remove and discard the old filter cartridge.
- Clean the housing sump with mild soap and water, inspect the o-ring for wear, and lubricate with food-grade silicone if needed.
- Insert the new PureT GAC10W cartridge into the housing, hand-tighten the sump back onto the cap, and restore water supply slowly to check for leaks.
- Flush the new carbon filter for 3-5 minutes to remove any residual carbon fines before returning the system to normal use.

The PureT GAC10W is engineered as a drop-in replacement for any standard 10-inch filter housing with a 2.5-inch outer diameter cartridge capacity. It directly replaces WaterPur CCI10CLW12 and CCI-10-CLW12 filters, as well as comparable GAC cartridges from major brands. Suitable for whole-house filtration systems, reverse osmosis pre-filtration stages, and point-of-use applications where chlorine and organic contaminant reduction is required.
