INSTALLATION & USE
Membrane Replacement Procedure
- Shut off water supply to the RO system and relieve system pressure by opening the faucet until water stops flowing
- Twist the old encapsulated membrane counterclockwise to unlock and pull straight out from the manifold
- Align the new ST-RO50 membrane with the manifold opening, push in firmly, and twist clockwise until it locks into place
- Turn water supply back on, check for leaks at the connection point, and allow the system to flush for 30 minutes before use
COMPATIBILITY
System Requirements
This encapsulated membrane is specifically designed for the PureT E5HR0550 reverse osmosis system. The twist-on quick-change design is proprietary to this system family and is not compatible with standard membrane housings or other RO systems. Verify your system model number before ordering to ensure proper fit and function.
🔧 Pro Tip: Mark the installation date on the membrane housing with a permanent marker. Most encapsulated membranes maintain optimal rejection rates for 2-3 years, but if you notice a significant drop in water production or an increase in TDS readings, replace the membrane early rather than waiting for complete failure.
